Is Hard Quiz New Tonight? Wednesday 16 September Quiz Shows: Hard Quiz 8pm, Spicks and Specks 8.30pm, Chase and Tipping Point 5pm

- Tipping Point moves on to episode 117 at 4.56pm on Nine.

Wednesday belongs to the ABC. This week's four Hard Quiz experts make an odd set: F Troop, the fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, Crowded House and, somehow, eggs.
Before that, the commercial channels look a lot less fresh. Of the four early quiz shows, one is tagged a repeat and two carry episode numbers from earlier runs.
Is Hard Quiz new tonight?
Yes. Series 11, episode 17 goes out at 8.00pm on ABC TV and iview with Tom Gleeson. IceTV, yourTV and TVmaze all list the same four topics for this half-hour.
The 6.30pm Hard Quiz is a different thing: a Series 10 repeat with the Census, Anne Boleyn, Buddy Holly and Below Deck. ABC put up a short teaser about tonight's Crowded House expert on Tuesday.
Who's on Spicks and Specks tonight?
Casey Donovan, Jett Blyton, Geraldine Hickey and Colin Lane join Adam Hills, Myf Warhurst and Alan Brough in Series 13, episode 11. Zoe Coombs Marr has a cameo, and Ruby Fields is on the bill too.
yourTV and TVmaze start it at 8.30pm; IceTV says 8.32pm. Either way it runs straight on from Hard Quiz.
Is The Chase new tonight?
Probably not. IceTV and yourTV both list Series 16, episode 48 at 5.00pm on Seven. Tuesday's was Series 17, episode 8, and Series 17's episode 9 now appears on Monday 21 September.

What time is Tipping Point on tonight?
4.56pm in Sydney, four minutes ahead of The Chase, for 63 minutes. Episode 117 follows Tuesday's 116, so it's the next new one in Todd Woodbridge's run.

Are Deal or No Deal and Hot Seat new tonight?
yourTV tags the 6.30pm Deal or No Deal on 10 as a repeat (Season 3, episode 37), featuring two brothers hoping to buy their mum a fish tank. IceTV doesn't label it.
Hot Seat at 7.00pm is Series 16, episode 3. TVmaze logged an episode 3 of the revival on 25 March, so it looks like an early one coming back round, though no guide says so. Our Deal and Hot Seat guide covers the hour.
How much new quiz TV is on tonight?
We count six quiz slots between 4.56pm and 9pm. Three are plainly new, one is a tagged repeat and two are doubtful.
The new part adds up to 125 listed minutes: 63 of Tipping Point and 62 across the ABC pair. Earlier nights are in Tuesday's line-up and Monday's.
