Who Won on Australia's Quiz Shows This Week? The Chase, Tipping Point, Hot Seat and Hard Quiz, 14–18 September

- No Australian network publishes nightly quiz winners, so the confirmed part of this week is which episodes were new, which were repeats and what the audiences did.
- Two one-offs carried the week: Deal or No Deal: Celebrity Jackpot on Monday and Tipping Point: 70 Years of TV on Thursday.
- Tipping Point beat The Chase at 5pm on all three measured nights, and the gap grew each time — 104,000, then 126,000, then 150,000.

Did anyone beat the Chaser this week?
Seven doesn't put out an episode-by-episode record, and no outlet has published one for this week, so the honest answer is that you have to watch. Every episode lands on 7plus after air, which is where the Final Chase results live.
What the guides do show is a week that ran out of new episodes early. Series 17 supplied Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday carried a Series 16 number, and Thursday and Friday are both tagged repeats. The next new one is Monday 21 September, episode 9, as set out in our Chase guide.
Who won Have You Been Paying Attention? on Monday?
Not confirmed at time of writing. Ten's Monday half-hour was episode 20 of a 22-episode season, and it drew 687,000 nationally, ahead of every other quiz slot in the week.
The show puts full episodes on its own YouTube channel, though they run several weeks behind broadcast. The August episode below is the most recent one posted.
What happened on Deal or No Deal: Celebrity Jackpot?
Ten gave the format a 70-minute primetime slot at 7.30pm on Monday, with Anne Edmonds and Lloyd Langford among the guests. The result hasn't been reported anywhere we can cite, so we're leaving it open.
The numbers are public, though, and they're an odd pair: the celebrity hour pulled 322,000 while the regular 6.30pm half-hour managed 205,000 the same night, then slid to 174,000 on Tuesday and 172,000 on Wednesday. Grant Denyer's early-evening block is explained in our Deal and Hot Seat guide.
Who took the Big Brass Mug on Hard Quiz?
Not confirmed. Wednesday's episode was Series 11, episode 17, with experts on F Troop, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Crowded House and eggs, and it was the biggest quiz audience of the ABC's night at 563,000.
Spicks and Specks followed at 8.30pm with Casey Donovan, Jett Blyton, Geraldine Hickey, Colin Lane and Ruby Fields, and took 294,000. Both are on iview now. Neither the ABC's episode pages nor the trade press name winners, which is why this row stays empty until one of them does.
Which quiz show is winning the week?
At 5pm, Tipping Point. It went 794,000 on Monday, 796,000 on Tuesday and 807,000 on Wednesday while The Chase went the other way — 690,000, 670,000, 657,000. That is three straight nights of Nine climbing and Seven sliding in the same half-hour.
Hot Seat's week ran the same shape: 343,000 on Monday, then 270,000 and 266,000 once the new episodes stopped. Start times for the 5pm pair are in what time Tipping Point is on.

Friday is the thinnest night of the five: the guide marks The Chase, Tipping Point and Hot Seat all repeats, which leaves no first-run quiz on any channel. The week's last event was Thursday's Tipping Point: 70 Years of TV, where Catriona Rowntree and Jules Lund, Nicky Buckley and Glenn Ridge, and Lisa Chappell and Bridie Carter played for a share of $40,000 for The Reach Foundation, The Power in You Project and Dolly's Dream.

Do the networks publish quiz results?
No. Seven, Nine, Ten and the ABC publish episodes, not outcomes, so a winner is only citable when a clip, a press release or a local paper picks it up.
