Australian Quiz Results, 21–25 September: The Chase, Hot Seat and the Spicks Final

The gist, after night one:
- Nine new quiz episodes are filed for the week, and the new ones are front-loaded — The Chase runs Series 17 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, then drops to Series 16 repeats.
- Monday gave 10 an unbroken three hours and ten minutes of quiz and panel, from Deal or No Deal at 6.30pm through to Have You Been Paying Attention? at 9.40pm.
- Wednesday is the night that matters: Hard Quiz at 8.00pm and then the Spicks and Specks series final at 8.35pm.

Did anyone beat the Chaser on Monday?
Not confirmed at time of writing. Seven doesn't publish a Final Chase record episode by episode, and nothing has been written up about Series 17 episode 9 anywhere we could cite tonight.
What the guide does settle is that it was a first-run hour rather than a repeat, which is worth knowing before you go looking for it. Every episode lands on 7plus after air. Who won Have You Been Paying Attention? on Monday?
Open. Ten ran Season 14 episode 21 at 8.40pm, the second-last of a 22-episode season, and the scoreboard isn't something the network puts out in a release.

What happened on Deal or No Deal: Celebrity Jackpot?
No result published. Ten gave the format a 70-minute slot at 7.30pm, its second Monday special in eight days, and nobody has reported which case was opened or what the charity walked away with.
The format itself is on the record: Grant Denyer hosts, superfans hold the cases, and each celebrity plays for up to $200,000 for a charity they nominate. The run so far has taken in Gretel Killeen, the Gogglebox Australia cast, The Wiggles, The Cheap Seats pair and the comedians Denise Scott, Anne Edmonds and Lloyd Langford. Which quiz show won Monday night at 5pm?
Tuesday's question, really. The overnight VOZ numbers for a Monday land the following afternoon, so the 5pm race between The Chase and Tipping Point goes into this table tomorrow rather than tonight.

What's still to come this week?
Wednesday, and then not much. Hard Quiz brings back the Battle of the Fuddy Duds at 8.00pm with four returning retirees, on lawn bowls, Francis Bacon, Suzi Quatro and sewage. Spicks and Specks follows at 8.35pm for its twelfth and final episode of the series, with Nicholas Buc, Becca Hatch, Kath Ebbs, Frank Woodley and The Blitz Kids.
After that the week thins out: The Chase and Tipping Point are both tagged as repeats from Thursday, and the weekend has no quiz at all. Why are so many cells marked not confirmed?
Because Seven, Nine, Ten and the ABC publish episodes, not outcomes. A winner only becomes citable when a clip, a release or a masthead picks it up, and most weeknight quiz results never do.
When does this page get updated?
Each weeknight after the east-coast broadcast, and again the next afternoon when the ratings land. The URL stays the same.
