Is The Chase New Tonight? Monday 21 September Quiz Shows: A Celebrity Jackpot Special at 7.30pm and HYBPA at 8.40

Which quiz shows are on tonight?

Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Hobart run on these times. Adelaide and Darwin are half an hour behind, and Perth is scheduled locally.

Is The Chase new tonight?

Yes. Seven has Series 17 episode 9 at 5.00pm, the first of the three new ones this week — Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are new, Thursday and Friday drop back to Series 16 repeats.

Seven's night is unusual, but not at 5pm. The Brownlow Medal takes over from 7.30pm, which moves The Voice out of the way rather than the quiz hour. Larry Emdur and the chasers are exactly where they always are. The Chase viewing guide has the slot and the 7plus catch-up.

How long is 10's quiz block tonight?

Three hours and ten minutes without a break, which is the longest stretch 10 has run in a single night this month. Count it: Deal or No Deal at 6.30, Millionaire Hot Seat at 7.00, Celebrity Jackpot from 7.30 to 8.40, then Have You Been Paying Attention? until 9.40 and straight into the late news.

The usual Monday shape is 6.30 to 8.40 with a drama or a movie after it. Tonight the Celebrity Jackpot special takes the 7.30 hour, so 10's whole evening is quiz and panel.

What is Deal or No Deal: Celebrity Jackpot?

A longer, celebrity version of the 6.30pm show, with Grant Denyer still holding the phone. 10 ran one on Monday 14 September and has filed another for tonight at 7.30pm, this one in a 70-minute slot rather than the half hour the weeknight episodes get.

Is Have You Been Paying Attention? new tonight?

New, at 8.40pm, and it's Season 14 episode 21. The guide has 10's Late News at 9.40pm, so it's the full hour with Tom Gleisner and the usual panel of five.

What's on the ABC tonight?

A Series 10 repeat of Hard Quiz at 6.30pm, and that's it for quiz — the ABC's Monday night is Australian Story at 8.00pm and Four Corners at 8.30pm.

The new Hard Quiz is Wednesday at 8.00pm, followed by the Spicks and Specks series final at 8.35pm. Both are in this week's line-up, and Friday's all-repeat night is written up in our last Friday file.

No. Both are done by 6pm; the Brownlow starts at 7.30pm on Seven.

Is Tipping Point at 5pm or 4.58pm?
Nine's guide says 4.58pm. Tuning in at 5pm means missing the opening question or two.
